Client: Stride Career Prep
Overview: Stride Career Prep is a program under the Stride K12 brand that provides high school students with training that enables them toward their career and professional goals while still in school. Illustration and overall iconography elements were based on the Stride Career Prep branding guidelines and visual imagery displayed high school students in diverse scenarios within different career fields. Completion of ads included collaboration with copywriters to find the most ideal solution to composition of imagery and wording on 1:1 square ads used for social media. Additionally, Stride Career Prep also integrates “Stride Tutoring”—founded in 2022 to offer online tutoring support both to school districts and direct-to-consumer. Stride Tutoring accompanied with Stride Career Prep are part of the overall Stride ecosystem that shapes students to be future ready.
My role: My role within the marketing team was to adhere to Stride’s brand guidelines to create artwork that would attract parents and guardians to learn more about Stride Career Prep’s offerings. The ads showcased satisfied students to emphasize the program’s effectiveness. Additionally, it was vital to make all ads cohesive to show the range of potential each student has in different fields of academic success.
Problem: Some parents may be unsure of the program’s specific benefits and how it can directly contribute to their child’s future success. Overcoming these obstacles requires effective communication and a strong emphasis on the program’s value proposition, demonstrating how it can provide students with valuable skills, experiences, and guidance for their future careers. Stride focused on the look and feel of the ads, along with the various scenarios the ads depicted—with the overall desire of the ads to evoke confidence, excellence and progression. The main hurdle was to make parents confide in Stride Career Prep and Stride Tutoring.
Outcome: The digital ads along with with Stride Tutoring Zoom backgrounds (see below) formed part of the overall visual content that aided the effort to provide robust educational experiences to students. The creativity that continues to elevate Stride Inc’s programs has led to a significant increase in new student’s registration and parent engagement on a personal and astounding level. The cohesiveness of ads and storytelling with targeted messaging had led to six prestigious Stevie® awards for excellence of remote learning, and more importantly through Stride Career Prep, project-based learning and real-world experiences has yielded students to be prepared with skillsets for the professional field. Notable awards for Stride also include “Online Education Solution Provider of the Year” in 2023 from the EdTech Breakthrough Awards Program.
