Client: Dime Optics
Overview: Dime Optics combines stylish eyewear designs with premium materials at competitive prices. Through influencer collaborations, Dime uses popular platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snap to engage with the target audience and showcase products. Youtube influencer and gamer Sssniperwolf championed a new campaign for Dime Optics. Using imagery from shoots, I then yielded to animate content for specific eyewear products and design a landing page for Dime. The brand guidelines were based off the neon palette and grunge cyber look of Dime’s identity.
My role: My role as a designer was to create animated social stories compelling enough to promote specific products to a Gen Z and millennial audience. The look and feel of Dime’s overall brand consists of bright, vibrant-neon color palette which was displayed cohesively throughout all design assets.
Problem: Elevating a recent founded eyewear company entails a lot of studying of the market. With Gen-Z’s participation and desire for fashion, the importance of selling a “feeling” and not a product is crucial. That said, Dime’s collaboration with online influencers and musical artist are important for outreach. To further disrupt the eyewear market, the usage of vibrant and modern branding helped reaching a target audience.
Outcome: Dime’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, innovative materials, and bold aesthetics landed their collections in stores like Kohl’s, Tilly’s and REVOLVE. The artwork or marketing content was finalized with a strategy toward budget-conscious consumers; this approach helped Dime Optics gain followers on social media platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram and Discord.
